Travel Awards, 2014
【Objective】
Deepening profundity of disciplinary research, promoting outstanding research which fits the goal of HIGO Program, and fostering research mindset as well as applicability, are one of the crucial objectives of HIGO Program.
HIGO Program supports the students by partially covering the cost of participating programs and projects which would lead to research ability upgrade.
【Outline】
This program is applied to a proposal that fits the objective of HIGO Program, and eligible for promoting the proposer's research.
As far as it leads to your future goal, it can be applied to the assessment for support.
【When to Propose】
A/N (At least 1 month before the application deadline settled by each program-host)

HIGO Program Office (Advanced Research/Education Promotion Division, Kumamoto University)
【Process towards Approval】
Application forms and documents submitted within the set period will be assessed accordingly. There additionally might be an interview on the content of your proposal in certain instances.
【Number of Acceptable Applicants】
One or two students for each program
【Qualification】
Students who belong to the HIGO program of the Master and doctoral courses of Kumamoto University Graduate School of Medical Sciences and Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. However, when the request for Research Grant starts, and if you apply for and accept it, which would be around this summer or later this year, you cannot apply for this support program. But before then, (before Research Grant Application opens), you can apply to this support program.
【Bounty Amount】
This program covers only travel cost regarding this proposed activities. Participation fees, Accommodations, expenditures for stay, VISA application cost will not be covered. The grant will be paid only after completion of the proposed internship.
【Credit】
No credit is given to this Travel Awards program.
