Title:  What can we do for patients by pharmaceutical technologies?

Abstract:
The essential role of the pharmaceutical research in pharm industries is to develop medicine for human (dosage units, dosage formulations)  from the active ingredient which has pharmacological efficacy. If there is not a suitable pediatric formulation, it means no medicine for children.

Drug delivery technologies for better safety/efficacy profiles and/or user friendly formulations for easy to treat/intake medicines have potential to provide additional values to patients. However, much time/cost are required for the development of new formulations with additional functions. Formulation study to consider the best outcome within the limited time/cost become therefore important.

The points and examples of pharmaceutical research in pharm industry will be introduced, in order to discuss the effective business research for patients.
