AbbVie is a new independent biopharmaceutical company composed of Abbott's former proprietary pharmaceutical business.
Mr. Kurai is now working as the derector in the human resource department of AbbVie.
He also has experiences about human resource departments of other pharmaceutical companies
He will talk about the following two topics, which HIGO students desired the most.

Summary:
First, this lecture discusses how AbbVie, a newly-established bio-pharmaceutical company, is managing its business based on current global shift of industry structure and environment.
It also examines AbbVie's challenges in organization and people management area in executing its new strategy, which ultimately enable students to understand talent requirements in global pharmaceutical industry.
Second, this lecture also discusses issues and challenges for Japanese/Asian people to advance their professional career in globalized world while keeping their own " belief or value" from "Glocalization" perspective.
It covers some real career advancement cases and also introduces a few self-analysis tools to understand own "faith, belief or value".
