Title: Career Paths of Corporate Research Scientists and CSR
Summary:
By definition, corporate research consists of "activities for realizing business objectives." Recent technological innovation has been so diverse and incredibly fast-paced that enterprises have no other option but to take a "select and concentrate" approach toward their research activities if they wish to maintain a competitive edge. Such being the case, determining how they should nurture budding research subjects is an overriding imperative for businesses. Taking the lead in such endeavors, corporate research scientists have a truly diverse array of career paths open to them. The presenter wishes to consider whether or not research has anything in common with business management.
Recent years have also seen the global community seeking sustainable growth. Accordingly, enterprises are being required to act as responsible members of the international community. The presenter wishes to discuss CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and the issues that it entails, including what CSR is all about and what enterprises can do for the good of society.
